A journal of our day to day life. Updates and anecdotes of Maggie.

My parents and I went out last night to celebrate Maggie's six month birthday and the summer solstice. They have a tradition of going out somewhere has a nice view to enjoy the longest day of the year, and a few times I have joined them. This year, Maggie got to enjoy the nice weather as well! It was a beautiful night, there were boats on the river (we went to the Riverview Cafe in Brattleboro VT. One boat blew its horn as it passed by, in response to the request of one of the restaurants patrons. That got a big round of applause from everyone! Maggie is still a very patient girl and was happy to entertain herself with toys for the majority of the evening while her mom got to have some adult time. In the picture you can see her chewing on her ladybug toy. She also has a doll on her right side and a fish rattle on her left! I have found that toys are a lifesaver. Now that she is interested in them she is much less likely to cry in the car, and distractable when I need to get something done around the house. We were also able to take advantage of the natural light and get a picture of Maggie's tooth! It's just a sliver, but the whole top of the tooth is showing now. (Sorry about sticking my fingers in there Maggie. Of course, you try to get them in there all the time. Hehe.)
